David Newlove (FS 57-62).

“Very sad news. Peter and I went through St Bees together, we shared a study when we were joint heads of Foundation (I forget why there were two of us – maybe North and South). We were also the First Fives Pair and once drove to Eton to play in the National Public School championships, with fairly dismal results!

By the way, he was known universally as ‘Scrapper’ Dixon during his and my time at St Bees. I don’t know if the nickname survived into adulthood.”
